Almondsbury American
Cockers were established in 1980,in Bristol, England, UK,
when we were showing our first & to date only Black & Tan cocker. In 1981, we
obtained our first black & white, having fallen for the parti coloured variety
in a big way. His name was Ballantrae Dandiman at Almondsbury, a son of the late
Dreamridge Delegate.
Our first tri coloured
arrived in 1987, called Mygilie Double Diamond at Almondsbury who attained his
Junior Warrant, Stud Book number, plus many other wins at both Championship &
Open shows. His winning ways continued into his twilight years, winning Veteran
dog at Cruft's twice & winning many Best Veteran in show awards. Also, he
competed in agility & was part of a prize winning mini team at the Chippenham
Agility Show along with our other black & white, Mygilie Diamond White at
Almondsbury.
1991, saw the arrival
of Mygilie Diamond Blush at Almondsbury our first Red & White, (favourite
colour). Ryan is featured on the photo's page & also won his Junior Warrant &
Stud Book number, plus Best in show & Best puppy in show at several open shows.
Ryan has competed in Agility & retired from this sport at the
age of 11. He continued to win in veteran classes &
was shown at Cruft's
for 11 years!!! In 2010 we were thrilled to breed our first litter, all tri's and the proud parents were Daisy & Sammy. Now in 2011 our second litter by Toby were born, again all tri's. Will Herbie follow in Toby's pawsteps & show an aptitude for agility?Yes he has and has competed in agility and won a second place. Almondsbury Flamboyant sired his first litter in 2012 & 2 pups have made their mark in the ring. Herbie has also sired a litter, all tri's.
